TRT is typically prescribed for men with hypogonadism, a condition where testosterone levels are low. To diagnose this condition, blood tests are used to confirm low testosterone levels.
If your symptoms suggest low testosterone, we conduct a comprehensive medical history review, along with physical and lab exams, before prescribing TRT.
Testosterone levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day, peaking in the morning around 8 a.m. and dropping by 9 p.m. To get an accurate reading, particularly in older men, it is important to measure testosterone levels in the morning when the decline is most noticeable. In some cases, imaging studies and additional tests, like luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) tests, may be requested to identify the underlying cause of low testosterone.
At Inception Telehealth & Wellness, we design personalized TRT plans once we determine your symptoms are caused due to low testosterone levels. We do not recommend over-the-counter testosterone boosters but focus on treatments designed specifically for your unique needs.
We offer TRT injections to administer testosterone into your body. It can be administered as a short-acting treatment, requiring a shot every 1 to 2 weeks, or as a long-acting treatment, where the second shot is given 4 weeks after the first, with subsequent injections spaced 10 weeks apart. The dosage and frequency depend on your individual needs.
Short-acting testosterone injections are typically given under the skin or into the muscle, while long-acting injections are administered into the gluteal muscles in the buttock.
